Girne International Cemetery maintenance work completed.
All maintenance and cleaning work of cemeteries within the boundaries of Girne Municipality continue as scheduled.  Girne Municipality teams have completed the necessary maintenance and repair work at the Girne International Cemetery.

 

The teams, who surrounded the entire perimeter of the cemetery with enhancing green fences, repaired the main entrance gate of the cemetery, ensuring its security. In addition, lighting was installed at the International Cemetery.  The general cleaning work was completed with the necessary maintenance and repair. Meanwhile, maintenance and cleaning work for all cemeteries within the boundaries of Girne Municipality continues according to the specified program.

Work continues at the Old Turkish Cemetery

Meanwhile, Girne Municipality teams have started maintenance and repair work at the Old Turkish Cemetery. Pruning of trees in the cemetery area has been completed and it is aimed to complete the necessary maintenance and repair work in the coming days.

The Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality will perform "Shakespeare's Ghost" again, this time in Lefkosa. The play, which has received intense interest from the audience since its first performance, will be staged at Lefkosa Atatürk Cultural Centre on Thursday, April 18th, at 20:30. In the announcement made by the Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality, it was mentioned that art enthusiasts who want to watch the play can obtain their tickets from the website www.kibrisbiletcim.com. Written by Ufuk Aydoğan and directed by Batuhan Oruç, the cast of the play includes Kıvanç Giritli, Ömer Dündar, Fatima Saatova, and Shernaz Yardımcı. The play "Crocodile Fire" will be performed in Girne on 26th and 27th April. The Turkish actress, Hazar Ergüçlü, is in the starring  role. She is famous in Turkey for her part in the series titled "Pearl Drops."  The play is sponsored by Girne Municipality and Birinci Global in collaboration with Kamacı Group, Özmerhan Group, Rocks Hotel, Uptown Hotel, and Girne American University.  The play will be performed at Girne American University Spectrum Hall, starting at 20:00 pm. Girne Municipality, Social Affairs Branch Directorate, has announced that half of the revenue from the play will be donated to the Champion Angels Foundation, and the other half will be donated to Girne Municipality Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre.
