4 Plays At Girne Municipality Theatre To Enjoy
Girne Municipality Theatre Groups continue their 2023-2024 season with 4 different plays. Throughout the month of December, the plays 'Mozart and Salieri', 'Pygmalion: A Democracy Musical', '8 Women', and 'The Snow Queen' will be staged at Girne Municipality Chamber Theatre.

The play 'Mozart and Salieri' will be performed on December 1st, Friday, at 20:30.

- 'Pygmalion: A Democracy Musical' will be staged on December 8th, 15th, and 22nd at 20:30,

- 8 Women' on December 17th, Sunday, at 17:00, and

- 'The Snow Queen' on December 23rd and 24th at 15:00,

All plays will be performed at the Girne Municipality Chamber Theatre.

The ticket prices for the plays staged in December are announced as 150 TL for Turkish plays and 300 TL for Russian plays. The Theatre box office states that tickets can be purchased at the door on the days of the plays. It was noted that those interested can also obtain tickets online at www.kibrisbiletcim.com, but no reservations will be made for the plays.

The "I Imagine a More Livable Girne" short story competition, organized for the sixth time this year under the leadership of Girne Municipality, has concluded.  The competition, which is a traditional event for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades and held for the sixth time this year, had as its theme "I Imagine a More Livable Girne". The Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality will perform "Shakespeare's Ghost" again, this time in Lefkosa. The play, which has received intense interest from the audience since its first performance, will be staged at Lefkosa Atatürk Cultural Centre on Thursday, April 18th, at 20:30. In the announcement made by the Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality, it was mentioned that art enthusiasts who want to watch the play can obtain their tickets from the website www.kibrisbiletcim.com. Written by Ufuk Aydoğan and directed by Batuhan Oruç, the cast of the play includes Kıvanç Giritli, Ömer Dündar, Fatima Saatova, and Shernaz Yardımcı. The play "Crocodile Fire" will be performed in Girne on 26th and 27th April. The Turkish actress, Hazar Ergüçlü, is in the starring  role. She is famous in Turkey for her part in the series titled "Pearl Drops."  The play is sponsored by Girne Municipality and Birinci Global in collaboration with Kamacı Group, Özmerhan Group, Rocks Hotel, Uptown Hotel, and Girne American University.  The play will be performed at Girne American University Spectrum Hall, starting at 20:00 pm. Girne Municipality, Social Affairs Branch Directorate, has announced that half of the revenue from the play will be donated to the Champion Angels Foundation, and the other half will be donated to Girne Municipality Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre.
