President Tatar attends Republic Day ball in London
President Ersin Tatar attended the ball organised by the Council of Turkish Cypriot Associations in the UK to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the TRNC and the Council.

The Turkish Ambassador to the UK Osman Koray Ertaş and TRNC Representative to London Çimen Keskin also attended the ball.

In his speech, the President stated that he was honoured to be with the citizens of London on the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the TRNC and the Council.

Tatar noted that the Turkish Cypriot people had suffered for many years, but they had achieved their state and today they continue on their way with their state even in a stronger way.

Stating that national sensitivities are at the highest level in the UK, Tatar stressed that they will protect national unity and solidarity for the future.

The Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality will perform "Shakespeare's Ghost" again, this time in Lefkosa. The play, which has received intense interest from the audience since its first performance, will be staged at Lefkosa Atatürk Cultural Centre on Thursday, April 18th, at 20:30. In the announcement made by the Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality, it was mentioned that art enthusiasts who want to watch the play can obtain their tickets from the website www.kibrisbiletcim.com. Written by Ufuk Aydoğan and directed by Batuhan Oruç, the cast of the play includes Kıvanç Giritli, Ömer Dündar, Fatima Saatova, and Shernaz Yardımcı. The play "Crocodile Fire" will be performed in Girne on 26th and 27th April. The Turkish actress, Hazar Ergüçlü, is in the starring  role. She is famous in Turkey for her part in the series titled "Pearl Drops."  The play is sponsored by Girne Municipality and Birinci Global in collaboration with Kamacı Group, Özmerhan Group, Rocks Hotel, Uptown Hotel, and Girne American University.  The play will be performed at Girne American University Spectrum Hall, starting at 20:00 pm. Girne Municipality, Social Affairs Branch Directorate, has announced that half of the revenue from the play will be donated to the Champion Angels Foundation, and the other half will be donated to Girne Municipality Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre.
