"Adventure Mountain" Design Contest Launched by Arkın Enterprises
An open invitation has been made for the design competition named "Adventure Mountain."  A collaboration between Arkın Creative Arts and Design University (ARUCAD) and The Arkın İskele Hotel, aims to create a special play area for children. The competition invites all designers to participate and to create an innovative and interactive gaming environment. Proposals should be submitted by February 15, 2024.

ARUCAD and The Arkın İskele Hotel aim to establish an interdisciplinary collaboration between professionals, ARUCAD students and graduates, and the hospitality industry. They aspire to develop innovative and interactive environments and products that appeal to different age groups, incorporating recycled materials. Through this collaboration, ARUCAD, Arkın Group, and The Arkın İskele Hotel aim to support professionals proposing forward-thinking techniques and creatively integrating sustainability, as well as aspiring artists/designers in the early stages of their careers.

The proposals from participants in the "Adventure Mountain" Design Competition will be evaluated with the support of a panel of experts from the art, design, and hospitality sectors. Applicants are required to use 17 large-scale wooden cable spools/wheels to create a safe and sustainable Adventure Mountain Play Area for children.

The Grand Prize for overall outstanding achievement in the competition is 40,000 TL, and the project offers various advantages such as funding, media promotion, industry collaboration opportunities, and the ARUCAD Concept Design Award in a special category. Additionally, the designs selected for the final round will be exhibited at a designated location.

Submissions for the "Adventure Mountain" Design Competition will continue until February 15, 2024. The Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality will perform "Shakespeare's Ghost" again, this time in Lefkosa. The play, which has received intense interest from the audience since its first performance, will be staged at Lefkosa Atatürk Cultural Centre on Thursday, April 18th, at 20:30. The play "Crocodile Fire" will be performed in Girne on 26th and 27th April. The Turkish actress, Hazar Ergüçlü, is in the starring  role. She is famous in Turkey for her part in the series titled "Pearl Drops."  The play is sponsored by Girne Municipality and Birinci Global in collaboration with Kamacı Group, Özmerhan Group, Rocks Hotel, Uptown Hotel, and Girne American University.  The play will be performed at Girne American University Spectrum Hall, starting at 20:00 pm. Girne Municipality, Social Affairs Branch Directorate, has announced that half of the revenue from the play will be donated to the Champion Angels Foundation, and the other half will be donated to Girne Municipality Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre.
