ESENTEPE WERE OUTCLASSED BY DUMLUPINAR !

Esentepe having scored 5 goals themselves against Super League opposition last week, they were on the receiving end this time against classier opponents.

Results: ESENTEPE KKSK 1 YONPAŞ DUMLUPINAR YSK 5 (friendly match)

Yonpaş Dumlupınar is one of the bigger Super League clubs, currently lying in 3rd place and this showed in their performance as they completely overran Esentepe. They were stronger, more powerful, more skillful, and more classier. Esentepe in the first half simply could not compete with all of that, overrun and outplayed they were fortunate enough to be only 4 goals down at the break.

Esentepe was limited in their options missing key players, either through injury or non-availability again suffered injuries during the match losing Yusuf and Semih, and finished with only 10 men after using all of their replacements. With Mahmut injured in last week’s friendly you sometimes think is it necessary having a mid-season break.

Dumlupınar changed most of their players during the interval, the second half was more of a game with Esentepe making a better fist of it.

Dumlupınar African players all got on the score sheet, they have a formidable midfield, very strong and powerful with Bosse Adam Cedric and the very talented Mehmet Altın bossing the play.

Up front, the aptly named Daniel Junior, who is a man mountain and was two strong and powerful for the Esentepe defence.

For Esentepe Tuğra though he was overrun in midfield kept going, never giving up. Şahin Erdoğan scorer of a hat trick last week came on as a second-half replacement and was impressive, stocky built, and hard to knock off the ball he certainly may deserve a start in next week’s Kıbrıs Cup match next week against Miracle Karşıyaka (another Super League club).

6 mins: Midfield player BOSSE ADAM CEDRİC KORE scoring with a tremendous 30-yard shot giving Osman no chance. 0-1

8 mins: A Berk Büyünkkal corner from the right was heading powerfully in by DANIE JUNIOR unchallenged. 0-2

34 mins: DANIE JUNIOR receiving the ball with his back to the goal in the area was allowed to turn and fire past Osman on his left-hand side. 0-3

44 mins: A long ball saw OLADINEJI ADEWOLE outstrip Ada on the left advance into the area and beat Osman. 0-4

48 mins: Esentepe Emre was brought down in the area allowing EMEK to send the goalkeeper the wrong way with his penalty. 1-4

78 mins: A Mehmet Altın free kick was charged down by the defensive wall the ball was quickly recycled into the area where it was side-footed in by CAĞRI ŞAHIN. 1-5

The Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality will perform "Shakespeare's Ghost" again, this time in Lefkosa. The play, which has received intense interest from the audience since its first performance, will be staged at Lefkosa Atatürk Cultural Centre on Thursday, April 18th, at 20:30. In the announcement made by the Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality, it was mentioned that art enthusiasts who want to watch the play can obtain their tickets from the website www.kibrisbiletcim.com. The play "Crocodile Fire" will be performed in Girne on 26th and 27th April. The Turkish actress, Hazar Ergüçlü, is in the starring  role. She is famous in Turkey for her part in the series titled "Pearl Drops."  The play is sponsored by Girne Municipality and Birinci Global in collaboration with Kamacı Group, Özmerhan Group, Rocks Hotel, Uptown Hotel, and Girne American University.  The play will be performed at Girne American University Spectrum Hall, starting at 20:00 pm. Girne Municipality, Social Affairs Branch Directorate, has announced that half of the revenue from the play will be donated to the Champion Angels Foundation, and the other half will be donated to Girne Municipality Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre.
