Booking.com are misrepresenting Northern Cyprus as perhaps being unsafe

The world is aware, but does not acknowledge the Greek Cypriot constant pressure through misinformation and using the UN. US, EU, UK and others to do their dirty work by enforcing their narrative that the rule of the island of Cyprus is theirs and theirs alone to the detriment of the Turkish Cypriots and Taskin Ismet of the human rights group “EMBARGOED” has sent us the following shocking news for sharing around the world.

“Dear Members and friends of Embargoed!As you may already be aware, Booking.com have recently added a warning on their website for any potential bookings being made in the TRNC.Aside from being factually incorrect (as it suggests that the TRNC is unsafe) it displays clear bias in favour of the Greek Cypriot Administration in the south of the island.  There is little doubt that the warning has been added after Greek Cypriot pressure.Given that Booking.com continue to host Turkish Cypriot accommodation on their site, it is total hypocrisy on their part.  They want to warn people about the TRNC to keep our Greek Cypriot neighbours happy, but they are happy to still make money from TRNC tourism.Please take a moment to sign the petition click here and share with your family and friends.

We also urge you to boycott the site.  There are plenty of alternative reservation sites available online, without the Greek Cypriot propaganda included.  Alternatively, you can help the hoteliers by giving them a call and booking with them directly.  They will often offer a discount in return for not having to pay commission to Booking.com  A clear win-win.

The Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality will perform "Shakespeare's Ghost" again, this time in Lefkosa. The play, which has received intense interest from the audience since its first performance, will be staged at Lefkosa Atatürk Cultural Centre on Thursday, April 18th, at 20:30. In the announcement made by the Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality, it was mentioned that art enthusiasts who want to watch the play can obtain their tickets from the website www.kibrisbiletcim.com. Written by Ufuk Aydoğan and directed by Batuhan Oruç, the cast of the play includes Kıvanç Giritli, Ömer Dündar, Fatima Saatova, and Shernaz Yardımcı. The play "Crocodile Fire" will be performed in Girne on 26th and 27th April. The Turkish actress, Hazar Ergüçlü, is in the starring  role. She is famous in Turkey for her part in the series titled "Pearl Drops."  The play is sponsored by Girne Municipality and Birinci Global in collaboration with Kamacı Group, Özmerhan Group, Rocks Hotel, Uptown Hotel, and Girne American University.  The play will be performed at Girne American University Spectrum Hall, starting at 20:00 pm. Girne Municipality, Social Affairs Branch Directorate, has announced that half of the revenue from the play will be donated to the Champion Angels Foundation, and the other half will be donated to Girne Municipality Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre.
