Children's Holiday Activities a Success in Girne
The free courses organized by the Girne Municipality to enable students fill their February holiday fully have been completed.  They enjoyed their February holiday.

The activities organized by the Social Life Centre, affiliated with the Social Affairs Branch Directorate of Girne Municipality, and held for the age groups of 6 - 11, took place on February 3 - 4 and February 10 - 11. In the free activities, students spent time with fun and educational activities.

Students who wanted to enjoy their February holiday fully participated in various workshop activities and had a good time. Various workshop activities such as jewellery design, ceramics, linoleum printing, bookmark painting, mandala making, and piggy bank painting were offered to students. In addition, activities such as pot painting and planting flowers were organized to be in touch with nature. Painting and handicraft activities as well as fairy tale and drama workshops also attracted the students' attention.

On the last day of the courses and activities, February 11, students bid farewell to the activities with a party.

The "I Imagine a More Livable Girne" short story competition, organized for the sixth time this year under the leadership of Girne Municipality, has concluded.  The competition, which is a traditional event for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades and held for the sixth time this year, had as its theme "I Imagine a More Livable Girne". The Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality will perform "Shakespeare's Ghost" again, this time in Lefkosa. The play, which has received intense interest from the audience since its first performance, will be staged at Lefkosa Atatürk Cultural Centre on Thursday, April 18th, at 20:30. In the announcement made by the Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality, it was mentioned that art enthusiasts who want to watch the play can obtain their tickets from the website www.kibrisbiletcim.com. Written by Ufuk Aydoğan and directed by Batuhan Oruç, the cast of the play includes Kıvanç Giritli, Ömer Dündar, Fatima Saatova, and Shernaz Yardımcı. The play "Crocodile Fire" will be performed in Girne on 26th and 27th April. The Turkish actress, Hazar Ergüçlü, is in the starring  role. She is famous in Turkey for her part in the series titled "Pearl Drops."  The play is sponsored by Girne Municipality and Birinci Global in collaboration with Kamacı Group, Özmerhan Group, Rocks Hotel, Uptown Hotel, and Girne American University.  The play will be performed at Girne American University Spectrum Hall, starting at 20:00 pm. Girne Municipality, Social Affairs Branch Directorate, has announced that half of the revenue from the play will be donated to the Champion Angels Foundation, and the other half will be donated to Girne Municipality Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre.
