
The Rector of Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD), Professor Dr. Asım Vehbi, visited the President of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Professor. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, the central education regulatory body in Pakistan. Expressing his appreciation for ARUCAD's achievements, Professor Ahmed supported the collaboration between ARUCAD and the prestigious state university in Pakistan, the National College of Arts, which is strong in the fields of art, design, and communication. An important collaboration agreement was signed between ARUCAD and the National College of Arts (NCA), which was established in 1876.
Leading the delegation that visited Pakistan to introduce ARUCAD and Northern Cyprus, Rector Asım Vehbi was accompanied by Vice Rector Associate Professor Dr. İbrahi m Dalkılıç and Administrative Coordinator Ahmet Özçelebi. Professor Ahmed said that they closely follow higher education institutions in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and noted that they have very positive information about ARUCAD.
Professor Ahmed spoke of the establishment of a collaboration agreement between ARUCAD and the National College of Arts (NCA). This protocol represents a significant step in promoting and enhancing student exchange programs. Within the scope of cooperation, student and academic staff exchange programs for the academic year 2024-2025, joint exhibitions, and artistic/academic projects will be initiated between the two higher education institutions.
National College of Arts (NCA), founded in Lahore, Pakistan, in 1876, offers education in Fine Arts, Textile Design, Architecture, Cinema, and Music Departments. Focused on providing students with an education process that helps them explore, research, and express their ideas, NCA encourages innovative thinking and enables students to discover their own potential.
The collaboration protocol signed between ARUCAD and NCA, by the Rector Dr. Murtaza Jafri and ARUCAD Rector Dr. Asım Vehbi, carries great importance for both institutions. It aims to provide international opportunities for students and academics, and strengthen international cooperation and understanding in the field of art and design.
