'8 Kadın' - 8 Women at Girne Chamber Theatre
The Russian play '8 Women,' which received great acclaim last season, is getting ready to meet theatre lovers again. The event organized by Girne Chamber Theatre will be staged on Saturday, February 24 at 18:00 and Sunday, February 25 at 17:00. It was announced that tickets will be sold at the door, and, those who wish, can purchase tickets online from the website kibrisbiletcim.com. The ticket price for the play, which will be performed in Russian, was announced as 300 TL.

Plot Of The Play

The play '8 Women' has a comedy-detective genre. Written by Elya Gilman, this work tells the story of eight women who come together to celebrate Christmas at a country villa. The story begins with a disturbing incident during the holiday. The host is found dead in his office with a knife in his back. Amidst the shadow of the murder, there are female characters, each of whom is a suspect, including the victim's wife, daughter, stepdaughter, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, maid, cook, and sister. Each of them is considered to have motives to commit the murder. The play, combined with Elya Gilman's talented stage direction, offers the audience an experience that both amuses and thrills.

The Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality will perform "Shakespeare's Ghost" again, this time in Lefkosa. The play, which has received intense interest from the audience since its first performance, will be staged at Lefkosa Atatürk Cultural Centre on Thursday, April 18th, at 20:30. The play "Crocodile Fire" will be performed in Girne on 26th and 27th April. The Turkish actress, Hazar Ergüçlü, is in the starring  role. She is famous in Turkey for her part in the series titled "Pearl Drops."  The play is sponsored by Girne Municipality and Birinci Global in collaboration with Kamacı Group, Özmerhan Group, Rocks Hotel, Uptown Hotel, and Girne American University.  The play will be performed at Girne American University Spectrum Hall, starting at 20:00 pm. Girne Municipality, Social Affairs Branch Directorate, has announced that half of the revenue from the play will be donated to the Champion Angels Foundation, and the other half will be donated to Girne Municipality Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre.
