Designer Zerrin Akıncı at ARUCAD Careers Day
Arkin Creative Arts and Design University (ARUCAD) kicked off its Career Days with a speech by Zerrin Akıncı, one of the successful figures in the fashion world. Akıncı talked about the establishment of her design brand "Made by ZA" and her career journey.

Designing elegant fashion designs for women

Fashion Designer Zerrin Akıncı highlighted her production of strong and elegant fashion designs for women for the past 10 years and contrasted their production against the fast fashion trend. Akıncı shared her passion for fashion design since childhood and explained how she decided to pursue this field at the age of 26, moving to America to continue her education.

Akıncı pointed out that fashion design is becoming increasingly accessible in Northern Cyprus and with the widespread use of the internet, reaching global brands has become possible. She encouraged young designers to join the workforce and stressed that there is much to learn from the designers they work with.

The Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality will perform "Shakespeare's Ghost" again, this time in Lefkosa. The play, which has received intense interest from the audience since its first performance, will be staged at Lefkosa Atatürk Cultural Centre on Thursday, April 18th, at 20:30. In the announcement made by the Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality, it was mentioned that art enthusiasts who want to watch the play can obtain their tickets from the website www.kibrisbiletcim.com. Written by Ufuk Aydoğan and directed by Batuhan Oruç, the cast of the play includes Kıvanç Giritli, Ömer Dündar, Fatima Saatova, and Shernaz Yardımcı. The play "Crocodile Fire" will be performed in Girne on 26th and 27th April. The Turkish actress, Hazar Ergüçlü, is in the starring  role. She is famous in Turkey for her part in the series titled "Pearl Drops."  The play is sponsored by Girne Municipality and Birinci Global in collaboration with Kamacı Group, Özmerhan Group, Rocks Hotel, Uptown Hotel, and Girne American University.  The play will be performed at Girne American University Spectrum Hall, starting at 20:00 pm. Girne Municipality, Social Affairs Branch Directorate, has announced that half of the revenue from the play will be donated to the Champion Angels Foundation, and the other half will be donated to Girne Municipality Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre.
