President Ersin Tatar visited Canberra, the capital of Australia
President Ersin Tatar has laid a wreath on behalf of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, the capital of Australia.

The President, who is visiting the country on an invitation extended by Turkish Cypriot civil organisations, will be participating in events, meetings, and festivals that have been planned to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Turkish Cypriot culture and traditions in multicultural Australia.

Following his arrival in Canberra, President Tatar paid a visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye, where he met with Ufuk Gezer, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Australia. During the visit, the President also signed the honorary book. President Tatar , who was accompanied by Ambassador Gezer, continued onto the Australian War Memorial, where he laid a wreath at the Commemorative Courtyard on behalf of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and participated in the “Last Post Ceremony”

President Tatar has become the first President in the history of the TRNC, to be paying a visit to Australia.

He is being accompanied by Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Işıksal, the Special Advisor to the President on International Relations and Diplomacy and Foreign Press Officer, Kerem Haser.

The Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality will perform "Shakespeare's Ghost" again, this time in Lefkosa. The play, which has received intense interest from the audience since its first performance, will be staged at Lefkosa Atatürk Cultural Centre on Thursday, April 18th, at 20:30. In the announcement made by the Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality, it was mentioned that art enthusiasts who want to watch the play can obtain their tickets from the website www.kibrisbiletcim.com. Written by Ufuk Aydoğan and directed by Batuhan Oruç, the cast of the play includes Kıvanç Giritli, Ömer Dündar, Fatima Saatova, and Shernaz Yardımcı. The play "Crocodile Fire" will be performed in Girne on 26th and 27th April. The Turkish actress, Hazar Ergüçlü, is in the starring  role. She is famous in Turkey for her part in the series titled "Pearl Drops."  The play is sponsored by Girne Municipality and Birinci Global in collaboration with Kamacı Group, Özmerhan Group, Rocks Hotel, Uptown Hotel, and Girne American University.  The play will be performed at Girne American University Spectrum Hall, starting at 20:00 pm. Girne Municipality, Social Affairs Branch Directorate, has announced that half of the revenue from the play will be donated to the Champion Angels Foundation, and the other half will be donated to Girne Municipality Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre.
