President Tatar: “We have a dream. Three states and one nation”
President Ersin Tatar received the chairmen and some members of the TRNC-Azerbaijan, Türkiye-Azerbaijan and TRNC-Türkiye Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Groups.

Tatar described the meeting of the three parliamentary friendship groups in the TRNC as a “historic day”.

President Ersin Tatar expressed his satisfaction to meet with the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Groups on this historic day, adding “During struggling in this country, we lived with the dream of Three states and one nation”.

 

Tatar noted that Türkiye intervened at a point where the Turkish Cypriot people were on the brink of total extermination on the island by exercising its right of guarantorship in the 1960 agreements and that at the current stage, the TRNC continues to exist as an independent state in the Eastern Mediterranean. Tatar said, “The fact that we can be together and share these images with the whole world shows that the Turkish Cypriot is not alone.”

The Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality will perform "Shakespeare's Ghost" again, this time in Lefkosa. The play, which has received intense interest from the audience since its first performance, will be staged at Lefkosa Atatürk Cultural Centre on Thursday, April 18th, at 20:30. In the announcement made by the Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality, it was mentioned that art enthusiasts who want to watch the play can obtain their tickets from the website www.kibrisbiletcim.com. Written by Ufuk Aydoğan and directed by Batuhan Oruç, the cast of the play includes Kıvanç Giritli, Ömer Dündar, Fatima Saatova, and Shernaz Yardımcı. The play "Crocodile Fire" will be performed in Girne on 26th and 27th April. The Turkish actress, Hazar Ergüçlü, is in the starring  role. She is famous in Turkey for her part in the series titled "Pearl Drops."  The play is sponsored by Girne Municipality and Birinci Global in collaboration with Kamacı Group, Özmerhan Group, Rocks Hotel, Uptown Hotel, and Girne American University.  The play will be performed at Girne American University Spectrum Hall, starting at 20:00 pm. Girne Municipality, Social Affairs Branch Directorate, has announced that half of the revenue from the play will be donated to the Champion Angels Foundation, and the other half will be donated to Girne Municipality Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre.
