May 19th was celebrated with events in Girne
The 19th May Commemoration of Atatürk and Youth Day was celebrated with enthusiasm in Girne.

The events organized by Girne Municipality came to life on Sunday, May 19th, at Ramadan Cemil Square (in front of the Old Municipality Building). The events, which started at 17:00 pm with the establishment of food and beverage stands, were completed with intense participation.

Living Coils took the stage at 18:00 pm as the first band of the event. After Living Coils, STOPop-Rock Band Serdar Tuksal Quartet appeared before the audience with their energetic performance at 19:15 pm.

The Ahmet Evan concert, which started at 20:45 pm and ended at 22:00 pm, was greatly appreciated by all the visitors who attended the celebrations.

The "I Imagine a More Livable Girne" short story competition, organized for the sixth time this year under the leadership of Girne Municipality, has concluded.  The competition, which is a traditional event for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades and held for the sixth time this year, had as its theme "I Imagine a More Livable Girne". The Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality will perform "Shakespeare's Ghost" again, this time in Lefkosa. The play, which has received intense interest from the audience since its first performance, will be staged at Lefkosa Atatürk Cultural Centre on Thursday, April 18th, at 20:30. In the announcement made by the Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality, it was mentioned that art enthusiasts who want to watch the play can obtain their tickets from the website www.kibrisbiletcim.com. Written by Ufuk Aydoğan and directed by Batuhan Oruç, the cast of the play includes Kıvanç Giritli, Ömer Dündar, Fatima Saatova, and Shernaz Yardımcı. The play "Crocodile Fire" will be performed in Girne on 26th and 27th April. The Turkish actress, Hazar Ergüçlü, is in the starring  role. She is famous in Turkey for her part in the series titled "Pearl Drops."  The play is sponsored by Girne Municipality and Birinci Global in collaboration with Kamacı Group, Özmerhan Group, Rocks Hotel, Uptown Hotel, and Girne American University.  The play will be performed at Girne American University Spectrum Hall, starting at 20:00 pm. Girne Municipality, Social Affairs Branch Directorate, has announced that half of the revenue from the play will be donated to the Champion Angels Foundation, and the other half will be donated to Girne Municipality Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre.
