ARUCAD And KTEV To Co-operate

Arkın Creative Arts and Design University (ARUCAD) and the Cyprus Turkish Education Foundation (KTEV) have signed a protocol aimed at enhancing cooperation in education, research, and community service. This agreement seeks to strengthen the relationship between the two institutions through knowledge-sharing and joint activities.  The protocol, signed by ARUCAD Rector Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi and KTEV Board of Trustees President Umure Örs, outlines the principles for scientific, social, cultural, artistic, and educational activities to be jointly carried out by both institutions.

It envisages cooperation in various areas, including joint research and publications, conferences, seminars, cultural activities, competitions, and exhibitions, in line with mutual agreement and available resources.  This agreement  will provide opportunities for the professionals from both institutions to share facilities for their professional development.

The Protocol was signed

The signing ceremony of the cooperation protocol was attended by ARUCAD representatives: Rector Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi, Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Dalkılıç, and Faculty Member Dr. Derya Ulubatlı from the Department of Plastic Arts; and KTEV representatives: Board of Trustees President Umure Örs, Board Members Semral Öztan, Birgül Beyatlı, Berna Y. Özdoğa, Sibel Sorakın, and General Manager Fehiman Eminer.

Rector Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi said that the protocol would create significant opportunities for both institutions and lay the groundwork for projects beneficial to society. He stated, "We are very excited to sign such a collaboration with the Cyprus Turkish Education Foundation, which supports education, culture, and art in Cyprus. This partnership will bring ARUCAD and KTEV together, allowing us to produce projects that contribute more to our community. As ARUCAD, we are ready to provide all the support we can to make the most of this collaboration."

KTEV Board of Trustees President Umure Örs expressed pride in collaborating with ARUCAD, which is a pioneer in this field in Cyprus. He noted that this cooperation would advance KTEV's mission in education and cultural areas.  KTEV has been providing scholarships, educational materials, and consultancy to needy students and working on various projects to develop the community in the fields of education, culture, and art for 30 years. Örs emphasized that this collaboration would further KTEV's mission and create a strong basis for cooperation with ARUCAD.

The activities under this protocol aim to contribute to the development of education and culture in Cyprus while reaching broader audiences and raising societal awareness.

The Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality will perform "Shakespeare's Ghost" again, this time in Lefkosa. The play, which has received intense interest from the audience since its first performance, will be staged at Lefkosa Atatürk Cultural Centre on Thursday, April 18th, at 20:30. In the announcement made by the Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality, it was mentioned that art enthusiasts who want to watch the play can obtain their tickets from the website www.kibrisbiletcim.com. The play "Crocodile Fire" will be performed in Girne on 26th and 27th April. The Turkish actress, Hazar Ergüçlü, is in the starring  role. She is famous in Turkey for her part in the series titled "Pearl Drops."  The play is sponsored by Girne Municipality and Birinci Global in collaboration with Kamacı Group, Özmerhan Group, Rocks Hotel, Uptown Hotel, and Girne American University.  The play will be performed at Girne American University Spectrum Hall, starting at 20:00 pm. Girne Municipality, Social Affairs Branch Directorate, has announced that half of the revenue from the play will be donated to the Champion Angels Foundation, and the other half will be donated to Girne Municipality Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre.
