In order to celebrate World Coastal Cleanup Day on September 20th, 13 SPOT SPOT Marine Life volunteers cleaned the 70-meter-long turtle nesting beach in Esenköy for 3 consecutive days. A total of 700 kilograms of plastic waste was collected from this 70-meter beach.

Although it is increasing today, public awareness has not yet reached the hoped-for level. In particular, efforts to reduce plastic waste are very limited.

As a result, all this waste reaches streams, forests, beaches and seas. Waste from the open seas is also added to this. All this waste slurry is washed onto our beaches by currents and storms. For example, most of the waste collected during this event included packaging from the Arabian Peninsula and Far East countries.

Nevertheless, as SPOT, we are not giving up. Come and support us, let's beautify our nature together.
