I have not published much over the past weeks whilst I bobbed back and forth setting up a new home in the UK and on the eve of my coming back to the TRNC it was good to try and catch up see what has been happening and I see the lovely Quiz Mistress,Susie Q had a great event where lots of folk have been having a lot of fun.

Yes, our first quiz of the New Year was at Divva Restaurant in Esentepe on the 9th January 2025 where we had a great crown joining us which was brilliant.


We had a Presentation for Winners of the Year 2024 and they were as follows:

- 1st Dunne N Dusted


- 2nd The Shebells


- 3rd The Foundations


- Lemon Winners Of The Year - Anglo Swedes!


- Shut Ya Gob 2024 Peter Dunne !!!!

We also had a SILLY HAT  competition and the winner was Diane Dunne and all the other competitors hats were great as you will see from the many pictures so Well Done All!!!


Even Ali Raza & Meeyab of Divva joined in with the fun and the banter and laughter from everybody there made it an excellent night so thank you all for being with us !


Thank you also to Linda Lamb for doing the charity card distribution and her continued help means so very much to us.

See you all in forthcoming weeks at the Divva Quiz Night’s and don’t forget to book your table with Ali as they are taken very quickly.

The "I Imagine a More Livable Girne" short story competition, organized for the sixth time this year under the leadership of Girne Municipality, has concluded.  The competition, which is a traditional event for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades and held for the sixth time this year, had as its theme "I Imagine a More Livable Girne". The Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality will perform "Shakespeare's Ghost" again, this time in Lefkosa. The play, which has received intense interest from the audience since its first performance, will be staged at Lefkosa Atatürk Cultural Centre on Thursday, April 18th, at 20:30. In the announcement made by the Theatre Groups of Girne Municipality, it was mentioned that art enthusiasts who want to watch the play can obtain their tickets from the website www.kibrisbiletcim.com. Written by Ufuk Aydoğan and directed by Batuhan Oruç, the cast of the play includes Kıvanç Giritli, Ömer Dündar, Fatima Saatova, and Shernaz Yardımcı. The play "Crocodile Fire" will be performed in Girne on 26th and 27th April. The Turkish actress, Hazar Ergüçlü, is in the starring  role. She is famous in Turkey for her part in the series titled "Pearl Drops."  The play is sponsored by Girne Municipality and Birinci Global in collaboration with Kamacı Group, Özmerhan Group, Rocks Hotel, Uptown Hotel, and Girne American University.  The play will be performed at Girne American University Spectrum Hall, starting at 20:00 pm. Girne Municipality, Social Affairs Branch Directorate, has announced that half of the revenue from the play will be donated to the Champion Angels Foundation, and the other half will be donated to Girne Municipality Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre.
