TRNC Slams UNFICYP's Continued Presence In Cyprus Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus regarding the UN Security Council’s Resolution to extend the mandate of the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus. TRNC's very own DBRM's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team is increasingly attracting attention, for all the right reasons. Recently, the International Jiu-Jitsu School, which is based in Paphos, invited Professor Juliano and his Kyrenia-based club to participate in an inter-club seminar to be hosted at the IJS's home. Professor Juliano cordially accepted the invitation, and the necessary plans were made for an epic get-together between the two martial arts clubs from different sides of the island. The seminar, which took place on 7th December, enabled students of both clubs to receive instruction from different teachers of their chosen art, as well as opportunities to practice and test their skills with other practitioners who they previously had not met. The Bellapais Project Is Nearly Finished The Bellapais Project, implemented by the Girne Municipality, continues without slowing down. The project, which includes 'Underground Girne Beylerbeyi Village Electricity Network and Environmental Lighting', 'Rainwater Drainage Line', 'Renewal of Drinking Water Pipes', 'Renewal of Telephone Lines' and 'Roadworks', is approaching the end with the intensive work of the teams. Girne Mayor Murat Şenkul made a statement about the project, which started in December and is planned to be completed in a short period of 2 months. Tatar proposed a new crossing point to Christodulides Speaking to reporters upon his return to the Presidential Palace following his meeting with Greek Cypriot leader Nicos Christodulides, President Ersin Tatar said that he has proposed the opening of a new crossing point in Akıncılar in addition to ongoing discussions regarding the Haspolat checkpoint. Tatar emphasized that consultations on these proposals would continue in the coming weeks. Tatar noted that the meeting stemmed from informal discussions held in New York on October 15, 2024, and highlighted progress on the opening of new crossing points. He explained that discussions regarding the opening of the Haspolat checkpoint had been ongoing for three months through the efforts of special representatives. Turkish Foreign Ministry condemns US Arms Sale plan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye issued a written statement regarding the US decision to sell arms to the Greek Cypriot Administration. The statement included the following: “We condemn the decision announced on 15 January by the USA, designating the Greek Cypriot Administration as an eligible country for arms sales and military training. We share the views expressed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) statement on this issue. We consider this decision, which will increase armament activities on the Island, a grave mistake. Given that our region is going through an extremely critical period, all relevant parties should refrain from provocative steps and act with common sense. Roland had an 8 Year Blues and Rock Show for Bayrak International Radio (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) and nearly 1 year “Keep The Blues Rock Alive” Show for Old Town Radio – Nicosia (Cyprus). In addition to many highlights in his social commitment such as Friends Across Borders Festivals in 2018 and 2019 with Alper Cengiz from Soulist for the Tulips Cancer Association, the organisational highlight of last year was the MAD MAX Legacy concert with the 1st German rock band performed in the TRNC (K.K.T.C) at the open air concert in front of the Soulist Coffee and Music House.
