LAÇ Pilot Waste Separation Project Lapta – Alsancak – Çamlibel Municipality Adds A New Recycling Project LAÇ Mayor Fırat Ataser emphasized that by separating household waste during collection, not only will there be savings on the transportation of this waste, but the separated materials also have economic value, creating a resource for the municipality. He noted that the team is working diligently on this initiative. Launch of the 2024 Girne Half Marathon The Girne Half Marathon has been launched with a Total of TL 435,000 in Prize Money. The 'Pasha Group Girne Half Marathon 2024,' organized by Girne Municipality for the fifth time this year, will take place on Sunday, September 22. Hives Distributed To Beekeepers Who Completed Iskele Training Iskele Municipality Rural Development Unit, established to guide, facilitate, and bring together those engaged in agriculture, animal husbandry, and beekeeping in Iskele District, continues its activities. The Unit, which organized its first training on beekeeping by experts in the field for those engaged in beekeeping in the Iskele District, distributed hives to those who completed this training. The hives distributed to those who completed their training and earned a certificate were allocated to the individuals, however, it was requested that the hive be returned to Iskele Municipality in the event that the hive was destroyed or beekeeping was abandoned. Iskele Municipality Rural Development Unit organized a training program for beekeepers on January 8-13 and a practical advanced beekeeping training in the field on March 14-17, and presented certificates to those who completed the program at the end of the training....

President Ersin Tatar has paid a visit to the Cyprus Peace Operation 50th Anniversary Exhibition being held at the Naval Museum in İstanbul, where he also signed the exhibition special book. Markulli: Our government never brought child killers to justice Former Foreign Minister of the Greek Cypriot Administration, Erato Kozakou Markulli shared, on social media, a photo of Turkish Cypriot children murdered by Greek Cypriots, accusing the Greek Cypriot administration of failing to take action against the culprits. Markulli posted the last photo of primary school children killed in the 1974 Muratağa (Maratha) massacre, stressing that Turkish Cypriot people were killed by EOKA-B. She stated, “All these children were killed by EOKA-B. This photo reveals the tragedy once again,” highlighting that despite knowing the identities of the perpetrators of the massacre, the Greek Cypriot administration has not taken any steps regarding this crime. The Council of Europe will welcome the Paris 2024 Paralympic Torch on Sunday 25 August, prior to its journey to Paris for the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games on 28 August. The Paralympic Torch will be celebrated with music and a series of speeches by representatives of the Council of Europe and the French authorities from 3 pm on the lower forecourt of the Palais de l’Europe.
